Paint-Out, Tour, & Exhibit at Metro Water Resource Recovery
Join us for a special paint-out including an exclusive tour of the largest water treatment plant in Minnesota, commemorating a 100 year long initiative to clean up the Mississippi by ensuring that all metro-area effluent discharge is clean when it enters the river. Operated by the environmental division of the Met Council, the Metro Water Resource Recovery Unit is a sprawling campus in downtown St Paul with a fascinating history. Bring a lunch and enjoy painting at the falls where clean water flows into the river. You may leave your painting for display and sale for a two-week period. Our host intends to select a painting to purchase for their permanent collection. Registration for this event is now closed.
