Plein Air Grand Marais is an annual painting festival of organized workshops, paint-outs, artist social gatherings, two competition classes, awards, and an art exhibit. Plein air artists come from around the country to spend the week making art and appreciating the beauty of Cook County and Minnesota’s North Shore.

The culminating public art reception provides an opportunity for artists to display, share, celebrate, and sell finished paintings.
