Description & Notes
Harbor Bar is a restaurant and marina (opens at 11 a.m.). This is a lovely spot along the Mississippi River. Subjects to paint include boats, wooded riverside views, and the town of Red Wing as seen from the Wisconsin side. Nearby are backwater views, behind the campground, where waterfowl and nesting bald eagles can be seen. This paint-out is hosted during Red Wing Plein Air, so participants can submit finished works to the Red Wing competition and exhibition.
Harbor Bar will have restrooms (opens at 11 a.m.) and will be glad to have us stay for lunch!
Registration
Paint-outs are open to all OPM members and their guests. Participants are not required to register, but it's helpful so we can communicate any last minute changes to locations or weather cancellations. Participants may arrive any time during the duration of the paint-out, but keep in mind that painters will migrate to painting locations once the paint-out begins.
