Description & Notes

OPM and White Bear Center for the Arts are proud to offer this Paint-Out opportunity for plein air painters. Tamarack Nature Center is a 320 acre preserve, with rolling prairie, mixed deciduous and evergreen forests, lakes, and wetlands. Wood chipped paths, paved trails and boardwalks make this an easy and desirable place to paint.

This is a great opportunity for people to learn about Outdoor Painters of Minnesota (OPM) and the White Bear Center for the Arts annual event “Into Nature Plein Air”. Whether you are competing in the “Into Nature Plein Air” event at White Bear Center for the Arts, an OPM member, or simply wanting to get out and paint – all are welcome. Painters: There are lots of trails. If desired, bring a rolly cart to carry painting supplies. But a cart is not absolutely necessary, since there are beautiful views near the parking lot as well.

Registration

Paint-outs are open to all OPM members and their guests. Participants are not required to register, but it's helpful so we can communicate any last minute changes to locations or weather cancellations. Participants may arrive any time during the duration of the paint-out, but keep in mind that painters will migrate to painting locations once the paint-out begins.
