Paint-Out at Oxbow Park

Description & Notes
A great variety of spring greens are anticipated for this mid-May event! The Zumbro river wraps around the picnic area in the park, so there are several views across the water. There is also a bridge across the river leading to trails through the woods if you would like to paint a wooded scene. You can also paint at the Zollman Zoo in the park, which has a variety of local animals such as bison, deer, wolf, and more.
We will meet at the Main Picnic area. Take the first left off County Road 105 after entering from County Road 4/ Valleyhigh Road NW. There is plenty of parking. There are three picnic shelters in case of rain. Vault toilets are also available.
Optional Lunch Gathering: Meet about 12:15 in Byron (3 miles South on Cty 5) at TT's Tilted Tavern, 403 Frontage Rd NE, Byron, MN 55920. They have $10 Lunch Specials from 11am to 2pm.
Registration
Paint-outs are open to all OPM members and their guests. Participants are not required to register, but it's helpful so we can communicate any last minute changes to locations or weather cancellations. Participants may arrive any time during the duration of the paint-out, but keep in mind that painters will migrate to painting locations once the paint-out begins.
